-   ABOUT US  -

Our recently refurbished farm shop, near the picturesque sailing town of Burnham-on-Crouch is a sanctuary for good, honest food and offers our customers a wide range of fresh local produce. From locally sourced meat, all of which is butchered and hung on the premises, to continental and artisan cheeses, we are also home to a large selection of deli products and, unsurprisingly given our location, the very best in fresh fish.

An essential foodie pitstop, we also offer fresh vegetables and fruit, pickles, pestos and pastas , sliced cooked meats and charcuterie favourites, home-made pies, a variety of olives, along with other delicious accompaniments.

We are a family-run business and we pride ourselves on our friendly and knowledgeable service.  The farm shop was started by my father over 25 years ago and my wife and I have developed his well-deserved reputation into a store that offers the absolute best in quality.

Strong relationships with producers and a farm-to-plate ethos give us excellent control over the provenance of our produce.

Having been a chef for nearly 30 years, I have used my experiences with food to take our farm shop and food to the next level. Cooking should be easy and manageable, fun and exciting. We are always on hand to talk you through where our food comes from and how best to cook it.

Well-sourced and carefully balanced produce, with much thought going into good provenance and food miles, all contribute to happiness and a better way to live.  With great recipe ideas and a good glass of wine, we offer the ultimate food experience for all our customers.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.

Our meats are all locally sourced from the very best farms that Essex and Suffolk can offer and butchered here at the Farm Shop.  And all our marinades are home-made by Dan.

We stock over 25 varieties of cheese from Brie to Parmesan, and we can boast that we can get hold of almost any cheese from around the world the very next day.

Most of our fish comes directly from British ports and where possible from local boats.  Maldon oysters and cockles from Leigh on Sea are amongst the very freshest of local fish.
